Submission Guidelines

We consider for publication research articles, state-of-the-field essays, and short reports on conferences and other events related to Asian humanities subjects, broadly defined. We also seek articles or reports for the themed section “Kyushu and Asia” and reviews of books, exhibitions, or films for the “Reviews” section.

Although JAH-Q focuses on original research and manuscripts should not be under consideration elsewhere, we occasionally also publish English translations of seminal articles published in Asian languages.

Submissions are accepted at any time; full submissions made by the middle of July will likely be published by March of the following calendar year.
